:*))  I was just going through my music  reorganizing my playlists and I came across this song.  Right along with this thread.  You've really got to listen closely to the lyrics.  It mentions all of these cartoons and more...

Does anyone remember the Banana Splits, Sigmond the Seamonster, the Bugaloos and all that crazy acid trip stuff they used to show in the 70's?

Seriously those guys that created that stuff must have been high on something.

OK Kids, let's go way back in time to my childhood.  Yes, we had television (just barely).  ;D

The Beany and Cecil Show

and who can forget,

Rocky and Bullwinkle

Some really off-the-wall stuff.  If you're under fifty you probably never heard of Beany and Cecil.

Dude, Banana Splits was the craziest!! The Tra, La, La, La song.

Wasn't Johnnie Whitaker (of Family Affair fame) in Sigmund and the Seamonsters? Sigmund was played by Billy Barty, one of the original Munchkins from The Wizard of Oz.

I'm sorry, I'm kind of a trivia buff. ;D Both of those shows were developed by acid droppers Sid and Mary Krofft.

I used to have a Beanie and Cecil hat. It was a little propeller hat that had a string you could pull ( i think the string went under your chin) that released the propeller to go flying into the air. Can't say I ever saw the cartoon though, as I am in my early 30s.
