Need New Shades

The only disadvantage I've seen yet to being sly is I need new shades. You know, cool "bald guy" shades. When I had the buzz, I could get away with the wire-frame shades, but now they look kinda odd on the shiny dome.
Not into spending $$ as I'm pretty rough on my shades (dropping them, perching them on my boggin, stuffing into shirt pocket, tossing on my desk, kids grabbing them, etc) so I usually go for the $25 drug store variety once a year or so.

Yeah Magma, I expect the flame posts to start again any time now.
Thank you for the nice compliment. Pic was taken last autumn at Chicago's Celtic Fest. I've noticed you've not complimented my eyes, but then they're not blue and you seldom ever see me without shades. They're usually bloodshot anyway.

Here's my method. I'm in grad school so I'm flat broke most of the time. What I do is whenever I'm at Wal-mart/Target/Truck stop, anywhere they sell cheap shades, if I see a pair that's half way decent I buy em.
Usually they are 10-15 bucks. And at any given time I'll have about three. A pair in my bag, a pair in the car, a pair at home, and Some are darker and lighter or more suited to various activities.
The advantages are that
-You have various pairs and levels of shade, different looks (some more sporty, some more fashionable)
-Even though you have multiple pairs you still spend way less than designer brands
-You don't fret about losing them
-If you do lose/break them you can just shrug your shoulders and you still have a few pair to spare.

Wherever you are, go to a bar or something and say that you lost your sunglasses the night before and if they have a lost and found. They usually pull out a big box and they're pretty much yours for the picking.

I had a buddy who tried that when we were in college; he scored a nice pair of Ray-Bans that way.
A few days later he started getting these killer headaches. I took a look through his new shades, and BINGO! He had been wearing someone's long, lost
prescription sunglasses.
