New Sly Canuck!
« on: July 11, 2008, 11:44:10 PM »
Hey!

Found this site whilst poking around the net for shaving techniques.  Found the HeadBlade was highly recommended by guys here and decided to give it a whirl!  Very impressed!  Much better than my M3.

Anyway, I decided to sign on to say thank you for the great advice and tips, etc!

As for me... 39yr old code monkey from Ottawa, Canada.  Wife and two wonderful kids occupy most of my non-work time.  What little time I have left to myself, is spent working around the property, hunting, watching movies, gaming (pm me if you're on XBL), flying and am just starting to delve into woodworking.

Like many of you, MPB set in in my late teens/early 20s and was all downhill from there.  I always hated my wispy, thin hair and at 34, it was time to stop pretending that I had hair to style (so much blasted wasted time!!).  So, #2 buzz, quickly to #1 (was nice, though Mum hated it), with the odd shave job thrown in the mix to check it out.  Eliminated the landing pad on the top of my head.

Have been sly now for just on two weeks and it's great!  Wife's not sold on the "Kojak look", but my son gets a kick out of it -- "Where's Daddy's hair?  It isn't there!"

Welcome Bro!  nice to see another Canuck here, and one from my old stompin grounds at that!  I'm relatively new here myself, but I can say it's a great group of guys and gals here always ready and willing to help with shaving tips and techniques to anything that may be afflicting you.

I grew up across the river from Ottawa in Aylmer but have been out of there for 4 years now.  I still make it back every few months to visit family though.  I know Zeekev is up that way too and we actually grew up a few blocks from each other.  Anyway, take care and enjoy everything this great site has to offer.

Welcome to Sly Bald Guys!!
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.
