Sly or not to sly...

Greetings all! I have enjoyed reading the posts! A couple years back I shaved it all... and really enjoyed the experience (kept it sly for 2 months.) I have a full head of blond hair... and decided to grow it back prior to landing a new teaching assignment (I r a teacher.... derrr....) I felt some pressure (all generated by me) to be with hair again. (Is there a single word used for having hair....i.e "bald") The following summer off came the hair again. I felt like myself again. Weird experience, visually, I really feel better bald. Kinda rough on the daily upkeep and getting used to sleeping (the pillow felt odd with the stubble.) (Again, only for 2 months.) The wife wanted me to have hair again. Funny, she rubbed my head a lot more when it was smooth! I want to go sly again, but need to do so rather fast and need to get some color in like within a week or so. Suggestions? Advice on the pillow stubble issue. Gear?

Welcome to SBG Michael and welcome back to the sly world. If you are having a problem with the stubble, check out the various suggestions in the Head Shaving section and you should get some answers. The shave routine can have a lot to do with keeping stubble down by getting the closest shave possible.

Welcome Michael!
The Sly look is definitely you!

As far as gear goes, get some sun screen and some aloe vera gel. Color will come gradually. Realistically, it could take more than a week to get good coverage. The sun will do a real number on your dome if you don't protect and moisturize!!
Please keep us posted on how things are going. Ask questions!! These are great people who love to help!!!

Thanks all... I went out and bought all sorts of nifty sly-related products, based on on all ya'lls posts and info. My side of the sink is stocked with St. Ives Scrub, a new Gillette Fusion, Bald Guyz Head Wipes ( I tend to the sweaty!!!) Headshade, Tea Tree Anti-Bump spray, Jergens Medium natural glow, HeadLube Matte, and HeadLube Slick. Would've picked up a Headblade to play with.... but wasn't sure if I needed the Classic or the Sport. Lol, I am having fun! Man that cold rinse is somewhere between a religious and an orgasmic experience. The wife is having issue, but hey, I gotta be me. She can't understand why someone without MPB would want to shave. She'll come around.

Love the site! Talk to ya'll on the other posts.

Hummm.... you still only have about 10% of what the ladies have on their side of the sink!

Get the Sport!

Thanks Sgt. I suppose I should introduce more of myself, since there really is a sense of family and brotherhood here

! I am the father of 3 sons (my eldest is a US MARINE) and has had his sly experience already

. The other two are very high and tight (0 sides, 3 tops) in honor of big bro! We are all very active in Scouting (I'm a Scoutmaster.) The wife is a school district behaviorist (special ed stuff) and is the main bread winner in the family. That's right my brothers, I am a kept man! I have a sugar momma! On top of that, she teaches tribal styled belly dance! ooo rah! I have been in education for the past 15 years. Last year I worked as a High School Dean of Students. I got tired of suspending kids all day (man the sly-ness would have been kick-donkey!) So, I have decided to go back to the classroom; 7th grade math/science. Having a MA in Educational Technology (Computers in the schools kinda stuff) I also will administrate the tech program at my site. When not camping or watching the wife dance...hmmmm.... I handle all the cooking (wifey has just learned that the smoke alarm IS NOT the kitchen timer

) and allow no one into my stainless steel man kitchen. I play the Native American flute, bagpipes, middle eastern drums, and clawhammer style banjo. The rest is subject to change without much notice.

Good to have you on the site. You two sound very intelligent, and I hope to have some of those smarts passed on through some sort of osmosis...if that's even possible over the internet. You look good. But how does the wifey like the new look?

Welcome Michael, I'm diggin the name, lol. Your family sounds so smart and talented. With me I try to play the acoustic guitar, my son is a great pianist, my daughter plays an ocraina, its a little flute type thing, then my wife and I are basically talent-less.
As J Digory said I hope some of your smarts can be passed onto the rest of us lol.
