I use soap in the shower. I've tried a lot of different stuff and soap works best for me. I can feel my head while I am shaving. Cream obscures the feel of my scalp when I am shaving.

I usually alternate with gel and cream. Two of my main products are HB HeadSlick, which is a cream, and Bald Guyz clear gel. For a change I also switch up with Gillette, Schick Hydro and Nivea Men.

I pretty much use head slick shaving cream mixed with a few drops of aloe vera. I put a little bit of baby oil on first.
I have also used a few drops of shavers secret on some other days. That works prettywell too. You can find shavers secret at walmart for about $3.25 a bottle.

I used to make my own cream from a recipe I found online. Fresh hot lather makes for a good shave. Too time consuming though. I now use Barbasol sensitive skin foam. I hated the Edge gel. made me break out. Might switch to an organic cream soon.
