Van Halen With David Lee or With Sammy Hagar?

There was only one real Van Halen and it was fronted by DLR. I was into the band from the beginning, and while I did like them with Sammy too, it just wasn't the same band.
I felt they should have changed the name. It's like the whole Guns n' Roses debacle.
Without the rest of them, it's really not the same. Don't get me started on Axle

while Van Hagar was good, Van Halen was DLR. It was 2 different bands really. I got to go with the original line up.

I agree with nomad.  I grew up listening to the original Van Halen, but Van Hagar put out a few great songs too.  The original Van Halen wins by a great margin!

Good point, B.Weet....I would never be so narrow minded as to say anything "sucked" except maybe some of the rap sh*t....especially the hardcore gangsta rap

There was some good stuff by Van Hagar.   Part of the D. Lee is the era and the memories....

Honestly though, I gotta swim against the tide on this one and go with Sammy. He was with them when they recorded my fave VH song ever - "Judgment Day."
