I'm the type that buys everything when I decide to get into something, head shaving has been no exception. From domain names for new websites to related products.
Being a new head shaver with 4 weeks under my belt as of today, I have a few products I'd like to comment on based only on my personal experiences of course and by no means a concrete 'here is what it will be like for you' statement. I believe this to be true with almost any review, especially skin care since any 2 people could be complete opposites when it comes to skin care needs.
Without further rambling, and in no particular order...
Gillette Fusion / Mach 3 (Power and Standard)Excellent razor and my favorite choice along with the Mach 3 for blade shaving. I have yet to get a single cut, nick or even minor irritation using them. I've paired them together because the only difference I noticed was with the Fusion's extra blade for getting the sideburns straight I guess... something I rarely ever used but was definitely a downfall in the Mach 3 series. Also, if you're debating between the power and standard, get the standard. I got the power because, well... I just had to ok? 90% of the time I forget to turn it on anyway and guess what?
I don't notice a difference. FYI, all Fusion blades fit all Fusion razors - if you forget it says so on the package, I've not noticed a difference here either but you guessed it, I still get the Power ones just in case.
Panasonic Linear Electric Shaver (8043)By far the best electric I've ever used... on my head and face. Efficient, high powered and always running at 13000 RPM is a great start and provides an excellent shave. Problem for me is that it left my neck looking like scared cat jumped on it. It does take a few passes to get smooth, but it's definitely capable and requires little effort. Still not 100% sold on electrics, but in a pinch (or when I cut myself) I won't hesitate to use it in confidence (except on my neck!).
Braun 370 PocketGo Travel ShaverThis has to be the best little secret in electric shavers. At around $10 you simply cannot beat this thing... It's a wet/dry shaver, compact, uses standard AA batteries, comes equipped with cleaning brush on the unit, 'folds' for safe keeping and also locks the unit from turning on. Oh yeah, one more thing... it provides a GREAT shave. By far the best bang for the buck when it comes to electric razors on the go. If you need a travel shaver or something for a quick fix up before that important meeting or date, this is the one for you.
Schick Quattro TitaniumReally liked this one at first but it wasn't long before I was reaching for my Fusion again. I like it better on my face than on my head, just felt like it got into tight places better (under nose, around ears). Not much else to say really... good shave, but just didn't have that extra something for me.
Headblade SportAhh yes, the almighty Headblade! Well, to some maybe... but not for this head shaver. For me it left me with more nicks and cuts than drunk day at the glass museum. I'll fess up to one cut being my fault, but other than that first time using it I really did do just as I was told... go slow, no pressure, and use long strokes. The last gash was enough to put my head shaving out of commission for a few days, luckily I had an electric handy to get me through this difficult time.
Shave Secret Shaving OilJust typing it makes me want to run my head under warm water and rub this stuff on. What can I say, I love it... I love how it feels, the light menthol scent and of course the way it performs. Seems to warm my head as I work it in, takes only a few drops and provides a better shave than any gel, cream, lotion or foam I've ever used before. If you never tried a shaving oil before I highly (HIGHLY) recommend you do so ASAP, there is just nothing else like it. Don't let the small bottle fool you, you don't need a handful of this stuff, just a few drops will do. I use 10 drops for my whole head and face combined just to give you an idea.
Pacific Shaving Company Shaving OilMy runner up in this category, but it's a very close second... so close that on another day I might pick this over Shave Secret. You really can't go wrong with either one. If you're looking for a nice clean scent and don't like the menthol aroma then this might be your new best friend. This one also provides a slight foam so you can see where you put it, but not so much that you can't see a beard you want nicely trimmed.
Vanicream Shaving LotionFor skin care products I just love Vanicream's entire lineup. Had it not been for my new found love of the shaving oils I'd still be using this shaving lotion today. Low aroma, no irritants, dermatologist approved and just an all out great product.
Banana Boat Sport Performance SPF 30 w/Dri-BlockThis is the best thing since a bald head! Goes on easy, has excellent protection and leaves my head feeling dry and clean. Has a nice scent to boot. Almost has a baby powder feel to it when it dries, but no residue... it's just an awesome product all around.
To be continued...

If you have questions, feel free... If possible I will continue editing this original post as I use more products. I am by no means an expert, nor do I feel I represent the majority. I do however like giving my opinion on things I use and hope it helps a few people along the way in their decision making process. For the record, my skin is easily irritated (sensitive) and also acne prone, though I've never had major outbreaks. I'm cautious of what products I use and have learned over the years what works well for me.
All the best,
Lucky
