Ok, so I'm up visiting friends in the wonderful state of idaho.


Potatoes, lakes, wonderful weather,........ and white supremists.   




I have never IN MY LIFE been stared at so much. I was in the grocery store with my MOM, LITTLE BROTHER, AND FRIEND and people would NOT stop staring at me. they would do an up down look and end up looking at my head. Never have I felt so intimidating. I'm a chill nice guy, most of the time, but people looked scared to see me. If i made eye contact with them they would look away, or look down.

People react differently to things they do not understand.  As long as you are comfortable with your look, that is all that really matters!!!

That's why I've said on other threads regarding job interviewing and slyness in the work place....that it's not necessarily a 100% slam dunk that ALL employers EVERYWHERE are necessarily gonna embrace noggin scraping.

Yes, it's come a long way and has become more and more mainstream....and the majority of us here haven't had a problem...

but there are corners of resistance that still need to be conquered

We have a lake cabin on it AND our friends live in Post falls not too far away right on the spokane river. Its such a beautiful area.

What bay is your cabin in? Ours is right in the middle of sunset beach bay, its the tiny brown and blue cabin next to a 2 story house. That is crazy cool!

I dunno. I fail to see the humor in any kind of supremacy mindset.
Sorry you had to deal with odd stares, but man...it reminds me of the time I was in Minnesota. I was passing through with my band, and we were a few years younger. I had a big ol mop of curly brown hair, the singer had short blonde hair, and the other two guys just looked kinda normal. But our singer and drummer had an earring. Oh boy! We got some stairs and then some. A bold waitress asked the guys with the earring if they were gay. 

Oh, then there is the time a coworker was saying something to another guy in the kitchen of the pizzeria when a customer exclaimed "Is he talking to me?!" They answered no, and she said "Oh, I was scared for a minute there. I thought he was talking to me." The reason it's funny and sad at the same time is because my coworker is a young black man and the girl was a young white girl. She was scared that a black man was possibly talking to her!

Trust me when I say this...it's not you. Some people are just less than intelligent.

I don't have any tolerance for any type of prejudice. It makes no sense to me. I was raised to judge each person based on the way they treated both me and others.
I was the white kid in a black neighborhood and actually felt the sting of prejudice from the one or two black kids that were prejudiced against white people. Not a good feeling guys.

"Supremacists" of any race are unfortunate. I grew up around some KKK guys (nutjobs in my book) but have also met individuals of other races that felt they were supreme.(They fell of the stupid tree and hit every limb going down too!)

No, actually, I'm not.  Everytime I've been exposed to racism in real life (especially boisterous racism) that does not harm me in any way or preclude me from any opportunities, I always crack up.  I mean, its just funny to me that people are so stupid that I really can't resist but to laugh in their face and ask them a whole bunch of logical questions they can't answer, which makes me just laugh some more.  I call them "great" simply because at least they are being true and honest with themselves.  You meet so many people who are fake and put up personas that, racist or not, I respect people who have the balls to be who they are, without apology.  So yea, I mean it.  Racists are great and funny people.

I have known a few neo nazis(I met them while scuba diving in Hayden Lake), and one black kid that thought he had the right to be racist because he was black, and thought all white people are racists
