New Baldie: Glad to be here.
« on: July 03, 2008, 12:03:51 AM »
Hey there, guys. The name's James, but you can call me Digory...it's my middle name. I've been toying with a beard the last few years; on again off again. Well, my noggin has been fading in the hair department right at the top of my head. It's not too bad, but I'm not a big fan of comb overs and trying to hide things about myself in general. So, I went ahead and started cutting my hair short. I liked it short, so I tried bald. I nicked myself several times, and it took forever. Then my scalp was really tender...it just wasn't fun. AND to top it all off, I didn't even get that baby-smooth shave! So instead I had a 5 O'clock shadow over my whole head. Not fun.

Well, I found this site by chance and was reading some awesome posts about products and methods for shaving the ol' noggin. I went and got a Headblade and some St. Ives exfoliating wash stuff. I only had ten minutes before I had to be out of the house...so I had to rush. But I shaved my head down and awesomely smooth. No nicks, VERY minimal bumps, and no scalp irritation! I tell you what...it's damn sexy. And people wanna touch it. haha!

I didn't write this up to promote any product...I just wanted to give some background about me and let you bald guys know that you helped me out a lot, and I am honored to be a new member here at the site. I'll get a pic to ya soon...but for now: Take it easy...never sleazy.

Ready for some before and after? I would have gone bald sooner, but I am a bass player and was in a band with two guys who went bald. We played hard rock...it was bad enough with 2 baldies, but 3 baldies would have surely made us look like we were something we weren't. Hahaha. The band is over, so bald it is.

Me thinks this poster smells like rotten fish.
He said he didn't write his post to promote a product?  :o

How can a first-timer get such a letter perfect headshave with just one use of the  headblade?? Had a 5 O'clock shadow with other razors, and then miracles upon miracles upon using the headblade after only one try his head is as he puts it is "awesomely smooth".  :Xo!

Welcome  J Digory.
