I admire the Sailor Jerry style. I don't have any of this style but I do indeed admire them.

Sailor Jerry refers to what a lot of people call "Old School" ink.

Check out www.sailorjerry.com plenty of pics and history.

I prefer newschool tattoos. I like bright bold colors and lots of shading. I just have two tatts right now, and they are both on my left arm. A stylized scarab on my hand with a phoenix right above it. The scarab is in full color, but ironically the photo is BnW, while the phoenix is BnW but the photo is in color. I'll get my bird colored in sometime, but right now I have too many doctor bills.

I like the Sailor Jerry style, always have. I am also a fan of wwII bomber artwork that is similar.

I appreciate that style and think it is very cool.
However, mine are very "new school".

i'm a huge fan of Sailor jerry "old ironsides".  i have 68 tattoos all from his collection.  He was a pioneer in the art of the traditional american style that was adorned by sailors and military alike in the 1940's-70's.  a legend.
