Ok, here is my update.
This TV is freakin awesome, but there are a few things to consider that I have learned....
First, you have to know "what" you plan on putting your tv on. Mine weighs 185lbs, and wall mounting is really not an option. My entertainment center only held up to a 27 inch tv, plus it was way too tall if I put on the top.
I decided a new stand needed to be purchased, so I began a journey of "are they freakin nuts" for the cheesy stands they currently have on the market. I have alot of things that go with my TV... Stereo, DVD player, Xbox 360, 5CD Changer, etc, etc. So after checking several places, I found that I would need to spend between $500 to $600.00 just to get something to hold my crap, and then it still wouldn't handle everything I have. So what does a handy kinda fellow like myself do.... build a stand!! I spent a total of $175.00 that includes everything and put my trusty tools to work.... I now have the perfect place to place my TV!
Second, my satellite reciever just wasn't getting it, I tried the s-video from my DVR-625 and it was killing me. The good news, after calling tech support in India and getting pissed cause the tech paid no attention to what I was saying, he just read his stupid instructions booklet to me in broken english... I hung up on him!!
The next day I called customer service and "bingo", an english speaking lady!! I told of my experience and we joked around a bit, and the next thing I know I am getting a HD reciever and tech to setup a new HD dish for $3.00 more a month... with the top of the line DVR... sweet
Third, if you do not have a HDdvd that upcoverts a regualr DVD to 1080I, you need one. I already had this due to my last DVD player crapping out and I picked this one up onsale for the same price as a regular DVD player a while back, it still worked on my 27" standard TV and turns out to be a major plus now!
I will say the xbox360 is amazing on this thing, I see things I never new existed in games I regulary play on it.
All in all I am really happy with this thing and when I get a chance I will link some pics of it and the stand I built!
