I first shaved my head back in 1998 but only kept it that way for about 3 months.
Recently, I decided to do it again. Why, I'm not really sure. Just sounded fun.
So on New Year's Eve around 6pm I went into my bathroom and shut the door. I had out my new Mach III and shaving gel ready. My hair was about 3/4 on top and 1/4 on the sides and back. I had no problems with hair loss even at 35.
I sat there and looked at myself in the mirror with my clippers buzzing near my ear. It was the moment of truth. Once you make that first hack with the clippers, there is no turning back.
So I just stood there for about 30 seconds and said to myself "F*** it", and BOOM just ran that bad boy up the side of my head.
As my hair fell I felt great, here I go again!! :-D
About 30 mins later I had a clean head and clear mind. About 2 hours later I was singing YMCA at a New Years karokee party while sipping on a Corona and hearing people say how they loved the look.
To anyone thinking about doing it. Just go for it, or not. Your choice. But it's not like getting a tattoo because it can grow back quickly. I've read that hair grows around 1/2 a month. I'd have my old hair back in 5 weeks if I wanted it.
