DO U use more than one shave cream, gel, soap, or oil?
« on: June 18, 2008, 10:32:02 AM »
hello fellow chrome domes:   hope  all is well with U & your families.  just wondering... do U use more than one shave cream, gel, soap, or oil in your headshaving routine?  i'll start:  my new routine is i always apply shave secret oil 1st, than depending on what my mood i apply either... headslick, dove unscented soap, or bald guyz shaving gel.

so... how 'bout U?  do U use more than one?  or only one?  do U switch and rotate like me?  what's your story?

I start out with St. Ives Apricot Scrub then it's HeadSlick all the way. I love the way it makes my dome tingle after the shave. ;D

Yup, I use a shave oil and then a gel.

The downside of the oil is I then have to wash it off or my scalp is too oily.

Speaking of which, has anyone received the BaldGuyz Gel from Howard for the survey a bunch of us signed up for?

I usually use Cuticura soap to start, then mix in baby oil at home, shave secret on the road (a size issue), then I've been experimenting w/ a spritz of rubbing alcohol, then gel or headslick, depending on the mood-the headslick takes longer to apply.  Apply the Fusion and get a great smooth shave.  Noted this morning that w/o the rubbing alcohol, the sand paper comes on about 4 hours earlier.  I don't know why.  Also, if I have an extra few minutes a second run quickly w/ just Cuticura oil and spritz, will make a shave last until 5 or 6 w/o even sandpaper, much less velcro.  I credit Warhawk for the alcohol spritz idea O0, and RazorX for the second quick shave idea O0.
