Is head shaving addictive?

Once I shave it my head after a period of shaving abstinence the impulse to keep smooth is so strong that I can't bear not to do it and let any single hair grow and despite saying to myself "I'll do it two or three times a week", I end up wielding the razor every day. To me that just like any other addiction.

If I go cold turkey I find it difficult not to shave, but the feeling does recede after a lot of willpower and self-denial. However if I suddenly shave again I fall off the wagon and I'm back bald again every day.

What do you all think on this one, and how close is the comparison?

I think many guys here find it addicting.  It is a process that yields a good feeling, so I'm sure guys can get addicted to that good feeling.
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

You bet its addictive.  I've shaved in the past and let it grow, and every time I grew it out I thought about shaving it again so I finally did.  I've been shaved for about a month now.  Its kind of wierd but I can't seem to picture myself with hair again. I love being sly and its very addicting.

Can be addictive. I wish it had been this acceptable years ago.

I still skip days. I go every other day because I don't wanna irritate my skins. Still giving it time to toughen up. My worst nightmare is waking up one day with bumps and razor burn.

Andre, after reading that you have been shaving for 14 years, I checked your profile to see your age.  Man, you are doing something right.  I swear I thought you were like 25.  What's your secret.

Jeez, I didn't realise you were that old!!  ;)  :o
(joking, ya know I love ya really!  :-*)

Seriously though.. I'd have gone with around 28  :)

Oldest trick in the book.  It's the old "tell everybody you're 10 years older than you are and they'll think you look great" routine.  ;)

Only pitfall is if you that and people believe you, it could be upsetting.   :(

Feel the same way. Can't go a day without shaving and can't ever picture
myself with hair.

MagmaBabe, about BALDANDRE...
He's NOT that old. It doesn't really matter what someone's chronological age is. It's all in how you approach life. Headshaving is extremely life confirming and re-invigorating.
