It has been 1 week since I crossed over to the Sly side. I've learned so much, and still have so much to learn about being a Sly guy. I gratefully accept this!! So far what I have learned from every one of you is that Slyness is not just about being bald, but about being bald and proud! It is to me an attitude, a lifestyle, it redefines coolness, acceptance of others and getting over physical and emotional issues that keep us from living life to its fullest. Everyone who contributes posts and replies are the ones who make this website so entertaining and so informative. You Sly guys and gals need to be very proud of yourselves. I am!
I'm still very amazed by the reactions that family, friends, my customers, and acquaintances give me concerning my new Sly look.
"Does it hurt to shave your head? Are you sick? Why?" Those are just a few of the questions I received last night when Bev and I were at a cookout. My answers were "No, No, and This is the new me! Go get something to drink, some chips, and check out www.slybaldguys.com. These are a great bunch of people who will help you understand what Slyness is all about."
You Sly guys have impressed me so much that I ordered a Sly Bald Guys T shirt this morning. I am buying a digital camera soon so you guys can see my mug shot. And yes, I will be proudly wearing my new Sly t shirt!!!!

20+ years ago I was partying with a group of my Army buddies in Germany. In our group of friends we had an older, well travelled guy who was much more wiser than we young guys were. He often schooled us about making decisions. To quote some of his wisdom: "Everyone has something to teach. It is up to you as an individual to determine what can be saved as knowledge, or who is really talking out of the seat of their pants! This past week, I've received a lot of advise from friends and family. Most have been very supportive, others were just talking out of the seat of their pants! (Hmmm, it's funny how things you learn come back to you in a roundabout way.) You guys here at SBG give out advise based on experience, knowledge, and good ol' horse sense.
