Day 4 in Sly-town
« on: June 15, 2008, 10:53:33 AM »
Day 4 has dawned, and keeping my dome chrome has been getting easier. So far, i've been shaving my head every time I take a shower, which is usually morning and night. I've found a routine that seems to work for me.. First, I scrub with the St Ives Apricot Scrub donated by my fiance. Not sure if it helps, but it sure can't hurt. Then, I go to town with the HB and some of the mentholated Head Slick.. Touch-ups are done with my Gillette Fusion, which also gets used on the facial scruff. Not a big fan of the last minute head freeze that some of you adhere to, though. I did, however, find another solution that i'm sure does the same thing. My fiance keeps a bottle of aloe vera juice in the fridge, which is some sort of dietary supplement. The cold feels awesome, and since it's pure aloe, it helps the noggin. You could probably do the same thing by throwing some aloe gel in the fridge. So far, so good though. Most of the razor burn seems to be gone, and hopefully some of the sun that finally showed up here in the NW will get rid of my pasty "new recruit" hue. As for reactions, nobody seems to mind it one way or another. They seem to have gotten used to me just doing things out of the blue, so now they just roll with it. I like it so far, and with 26 more days of the litmus test to go, I don't think i'll have a problem with keeping it sly..  Now get out and enjoy some weather, fellow slysters, and Happy Father's Day to you sly Dads.

Nice TG! Day 4 and you're doing that good. Fabulous! I like the Aloe in fridge idea. Think I might try that myself since I'm not a big fan of the "ice shower".

Happy Dad's Day back at 'cha.

Way to go bro!
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

Keep up the good work.  The dome looks great.
