The "dumbell-dropper"

1)  When the gym is not designed for it (second floor??) and it's CLEARLY POSTED

2)  When it is obvious that the a$$hole dropping them is CLEARLY doing it for the attention.

The cell phone on the equipment is the one that kills me.  I do a circuit training routine and I hate when some dude or chick is sitting on a piece of equipment talking on the phone.

I just walk up to them and let them know that the machines are for working out, not resting while on the phone.  I usually get to use the machine right away.

I hate that and I also hate it when I'm on a treadmill/elliptical/stair stepper next to someone who's talking on the phone because then I'm trapped there forced to listen to their conversation for 10 or 15 minutes.  It's almost as bad as people who shout into their cell phones on the train.   :Xo!

I would never have my cell phone with me while I was working out.  There really isn't anything so important that it can't wait an hour until I'm done.  I like having that hour or so to myself when no one can reach me.

I do on the train -- though some people are so loud even that doesn't completely block them out.  I don't like using the iPod when I'm working out.
