hello fellow chrome domes: i hope i'm not the only one but 2day i experienced another cash register nightmare.

here's the scenerio: the wifey & i get ready 2 complete R "buggy-ful" of stuff from wal-mart & i "drive" the shopping cart 2 the shortest line. i'm like "yes". this shouldn't take long, right? well... this lady & her friend had just completed their 3 "buggy-fuls" of stuff... that's right 3 "buggy-fuls" of stuff totaling approximately $500 something dollars! the customer swipes her debit card & she finds out that she doesn't have any money in her checking account. she claims that there was a misunderstanding in her direct deposit. so... the cashier (bless her heart) had 2 take back & re-credit each item on the register. and of course... i had 2 patiently wait.

it felt like eternity when it was over.

it seems like that i always pick the "slowest" paced cash register. does this happen 2 U? this is what i call a "cash register nightmare". am i the only one. what's your story?
WARHAWK
ugh I hate that one! The worst is the old lady that has more than an old lady could eat in a year, and the new kid that doesn't know how to use the register. If you get a combination of the two just ditch the groceries and walk away...for your sanity

Mel that is insane bro. I would have strangled the stupid woman.
You have the patience of a saint my friend.
Two words gentlemen - Self Checkout!
I'm right there with you on the self checkout!!
HOWEVER... what ticks me off is the people who can't figure out how to use them!!! I was behind this dude at Wally World two days ago who kept scanning everything twice... rather than running the UPC over the scanner and then putting the item in the bag, he was waving it back and forth... about 10 of his purchases rang up twice. He got rather upset at this malfunction, which was really his own stupidity, and complained to the "watcher" that the machine wasn't working correctly. SO... this poor girl had to delete his items and then close the lane down to find the problem...
