Boston Herald Disses A Sly Brutha

Here's what my hometown paper, the Boston Herald had to say about Joey Lawrence and his new TLC show, Master of the Dance. "TLC looking to cash in with the cheapo “Master of Dance.”  - a cheap knockoff meant to impress with average folks taking the stage. It’s hosted by Joey Lawrence, who looks creepy with a bald head, orange tan and a wisp of a mustache."

Is the newspaper columnist saying that that all bald guys look creepy
or just that Joey Lawrence looks creepy with a bald head? The author of the article shouldn't be labeling anyone creepy. I say he's very narrow minded and ignorant and he's the creepy one. 

I bet if JL saw the article he'd say....

maybe the show blows...but Joey looks great bald...and he totally digs the bald head he sports....

which I think makes him VERY SLY!

I actually think a lot of times Joey has a very "Yul" type vibe going..and maybe back in the day some thought Yul was kinda creepy...

You're so right about the Brynner vibe, BaldAndre.

Did you ever see WestWorld? An awesome movie.
If memory serves me, Brynner steals every scene in that film.
He simply commanded your attention.
And he looks a lot like Joey Lawrence!

Yes, he is.  And I think the bald head is his way of disassociating himself with his child star past.  I think he looks good with the bald head, though he does look a bit old in the photo Erik posted.  He's only 32 years old but I would guess his age to be a lot older based on that photo, if I didn't already know.

He's been sly for a good long time now.  It's cool to see that he stuck with it and that it wasn't just a fad.

You know what, RazorX, I was just thinking about that at work today while I was on the site. All of you have the avy pics, and I have this lame pirate flag. Well its time I change that. I've been out of town for two weeks for work and don't have my Sly tools, so I've just been buzzing it with a zero every morning, but as soon as I get home, I'm heading straight to the bathroom to get Sly. And then I'll have a pic up on the site...

Oh...but a quick side note on sly brother Joey...

in several interviews he totally says it's his bald head that has given him a come back into the public eye..

the dude has gotten WAY more exposure and good gigs since going SLY...as apposed to his short haired after Blossom and Give Me a Break days...

Yet another dude that sly has made his life better!
