Welcome Joe!!!  The other guys and MagmaBabe have said it well.  Try it, give it time and love it like we do.

Hey Rob.....I notice you are sporting the Bear's jersey.  We finally got rid of that worthless Benson eh?  Maybe we'll be able to establish something resembling a running game now!  I know this isn't the right place to post that but I had to get that in.

Bears fans eh? I think QB is an area of equal, if not greater, concern for you guys...

Absolutely no doubt about that James!  I really think they should give Orton more of a shot as he seems to look the most comfortable under center.

Welcome Joe. Give slick sly a shot once you're good and ready. Or find a traditional barbershop and have them take it down to a #2 or #1. Guarantee you they'll ask if that's short enough and then it'll be decision time! Good luck.

Welcome, Joe.  i would say buzz it, maybe to number 1.  If you have a hankering to go sly nothing will be able to stop you taking it shorter, if not, then you can keep it buzzed.  O0

Joe, there's not much I can add for advice, but I wanted to give you a huge welcome to Sly Bald Guys!
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

I predict that once he goes with the #2....he will keep going down to a #1 then after he see's that there really isnt all that much there....he will break out the razor.....What you all think?

Go for it JOE!  I guess I will have to wait until I get back before I get the answer to this one...on the 23 of June.  See ya

Bet you'll just get lower and lower.  That's what I did.  being smoooth is so different to being buzzed to a 1 or 2 that you just gotta shave it to see what its like eventually.  It's just a matter of time!  O0

From one Joe to another, welcome to the SBG site. Good to have you with us.

Sounds to me like you're ready to do this, and I have to agree with my fellow sly's.

If you do the gradual buzz, it's probably going to be a short time before you will just want to take it all down. That's how I did it, and from the time I had gotten a Oa buzz, it was no more than a month when I finally decided to do it.
Best decision I ever made.
I'm pretty sure you''ll be saying the same thing.     O0

Hey Joe,

Being new to the fourm and newly sly myself.  I did exactley what you are proposing.  I took it in steps.  I have been wearing the crewcut for about a year and I have to tell you, taking the razor to the head was very liberating.

Also, my hair is growing back very fast, so if you don't like it, in a week you will have a crewcut.  I'm a little older Joe, I will be 44 next week.  My wife thinks I'm going through some mid-life crisis.   ;D

Good Luck Joe.  Go for it.  It's a lot of fun.

Steve.
