I have actually tried this before.  It's really not quite that bad.  I did wait about an hour or two after I shave to put on the purell.

i have tried this too. I dont see anything wrong with doing it. We did it in basic training to prevent bumps.

Believe it or not...but the very first time I put aloe vera on....I felt like M.J doing a Pepsi commerical...I was like WTF.  I was doing an indian rain dance in the middle of the kitchen.  Why it burned?  I have no idea...but it was only that first time.

Aloe Vera does that too.  Stings a little, but it's not unbearable.  It is funny to see a guy do it for the first time though, especially when he wasn't ready for it.

A rain dance in the middle of the kitchen?? I'm trying to picture that!! ::)

The last time I went camping I forgot to take witch hazel. I borrowed some Sea Breeze.
Man, did that sting. Guess putting new stuff on the old noggin' is like seasoning a piece of raw meat.
If you put the same stuff on it long enough it get's used to it.

Have any of you tried Sea Breeze?

No, not the official IBA cocktail containing vodka with cranberry juice and grapefruit juice.

Not this Sea Breeze either.

Sea Breeze the astringent for sensitive skin. It's very soothing stuff. O0

Ok, here is my take on the "Sting"....when you shave for the first time, or maybe when you shave every time , no matter what razor or shave gel, foam or oil you use to shave with, you irritate the skin. When you use a non-alcohol skin product like Bald Guyz Moisture Gel, (or aloe vera gel, but remember to look at the ingredients to see what you are really getting) the sting is caused by the moisturizers and natural skin soothers flooding the irritation to soothe and calm the skin.

Bald Guyz Moisture Gel contains Aloe, Green Tea, Calendula, Chamomille and Vitamin E combined with 11 vitamins, antioxidants, fruit extracts and natural skin soothers in a quickly absorbing light gel. It was designed to provide a perfect moisture balance for the skin. Again, read the ingredients on what you are using! Some products have Antibacterial features. Why would you need an antibacterial product for your head or face?

When you use a product like ours for the first time the sting tells you that it is working to help speed the healing process. The more problematic your skin is the greater the sting.

In a short time, perhaps the next time you use Bald Guyz, there is no sting at all. Many baldies, especially those who have shaved for the first time have told me that they had no idea how irritated and unbalanced theie skin was. A regimine of great skin products will keep your dome looking healthy and "SLY"!
