The number one looks great, I did the number one buzz for a few months but lately started doing a 0 buzz, which looks pretty much the same , but is really no more than stuble, my face is darker after after one day, trust me dude the 1 buzz suits you, you will love going to a zero, I havent put razor to scalp yet but having a zero gives me a pretty good idea when I do its gonna look very nice.

First off, welcome! Secondly, if you're happy with the buzz (for the moment), keep it that way. I agree with what the bros have said so far - definitely an improvement over what you had. Once you get used to the buzzed look, try shaving it all off and see if you like it! My bet would be that you will LOVE it and once you get your routine down, you'll be SLY for life!
