Hello everyone. I am obviously new here. My name is Mike, I live in a little town in northeastern Washington. I am 29, will be 30 in July. I am happily married with two sons and a daughter, my oldest boy is 8, my daughter is 6, and my youngest son is 3. I live on a little ten acre farm with a couple horses, goats, and 600+ chickens and ducks. I am the manager of a local feed store. I am working on gettng my APA (American Poultry Association) judging license. I was born in Russia. I still speak some Russian but not enough to carry on long converstions.
I have been sly for about 6 years. I started going bald when I was a senior in high school, it started at the corners then slowly got worse. By the time I was 23 I had a ring of hair with a little on top. I then decided to shave it off when I was on vacation. I went to a show and bought some shavers at walmart, got a nice razor and some shave cream and shaved it all off. I shaved before I actually went into the show, so many people there that I knew gave me odd looks and finally a good friend asked why I did it, I told him that I was tired of wearing a hat to cover it. He then asked what the wife and kids will think, I didnt really think of that then. When I got home my wife wasnt there which was good. When she got home I was in the kitchen and she saw the back of my dome and didnt recognize me at first. She was kinda shocked and speechless. When I started to tell her why she interrupeted me and said she loved it and it made me look 10 times better. She said it made me look younger and she rubbed it and loved it. Family and friends were alittle shocked but they all agree that I look better.

I have some friends in Newport. There are some towns that I didnt think existed like Valley. I had a friend driving to get some cattle and he called to ask if he took a wrong turn or something because he was in Valley. I asked if he was in Spokane Valley and he said it was a town that had a 1/2 mile of houses and a store. It turns out that its only 1/2 hour from me. What town are you in?

Welcome Mike!!! As a graduate of Spokane's Shadle Park High,i l now your area well. I have a few friends that live in Deer Park as a matter f fact. Beautiful area indeed.
I now live on the other side of the state from you in Vancouver.
I went through thing same thing last year when i went sly for the first time in my life.
I can really grow a lot of hair and did the sly thing for a Leukemia Walk and to raise awareness and funds for my patient friends. But i have liked the look so much i actually shave twice a day to keep it slick and shiny!!!
Otlichna!!!
All the best to you and your new slyness!!!

Hello, Mike. Your story proves that once you make the decision to shave your head, others notice at first and are curious, but quickly move on. Hope you'll stick around the forum.
