Either way, I enjoy both, but the wife doesn't, guess I should learn how to cook them myself.

Or find a good cafeteria

Isn't that an oxymoron?  I just thought of Luby's...yuck!

Tyler, Tyler, Tyler ... You've been cooped up on the West Coast too long.  Get to the American South and I can show you some good places where the food is .... well, soulful, and the waitress still calls you honey.

Actually, I travel quite frequently to the south.  When I hear cafeteria, I think of Luby's type places where you get a tray and walk down the glass having them plop food onto your plate.

If you're referring to a good, southern, greasy spoon type restaurant way out in the sticks, then I agree that those are the best places to eat.

Very small... about an 1 1/2 hours SE of the Raleigh-Durham airport!

I'm not a big fan of humidity (born and raised in Nor Cal), so my ventures past the Rockies are limited. ALthough I did take a trip to the Boone/Banner Elk area of North Carolina with my wife. It was great because at 4,000 ft elevation, the humidity was not a factor (we were there in July). Some of the best grub I've ever had was on that trip (fat fried in fat, with a side of fat). The southern gravy & biscuits are one of my favorite dishes. Along with hush puppies and sweet tea, Y'all.

Talk about flatulence, I wish I didn't like mexican food so much. I think I was mexican in a prior life.

Wow...I am in desperate need of some fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, biscuits, corn and sweet tea. I'm drooling on the keyboard again...oops

I'm right there with you on the mexican food Schro. We have some good New Mexican cuisine around here. I was raised eating green chile on everything. Good stuff.
In a bacon and eggs breakfast, the chicken is involved, but the pig is committed. BE THE PIG!!!

I had a business trip to Santa Fe about 8 yrs ago. One of the best meals I had was The Cowgirl Hall of Fame". Odd name, but pretty good food. Fun place, good 'ritas, and a cool staff from what I remember.

Ole !

Here's a recipe we have made before. I hope the link works....

You could use flour tortillas also.
