Trying to decide once and for all
« on: May 18, 2008, 02:36:47 PM »
Hey guys, I am newcomer to the forum and just wanted to introduce myself. In general I keep my hair quite short and I am considering just saying to hell with it and shaving the puppy. Here is a side pic of my head as well and hopefully I can get some advice as to whether or not I should do this. Any thoughts?

You have a great shaped dome there turk, Go For It.  You are already wearing it good and short.  Time to do the deed and enjoy the freedom and feel of being truly sly.

I'm going to repeat what my wise friend wpruitt just said to ammo:  If you have to ask, then it should go.

You wouldn't be asking if you really didn't want to do it, so give it a try.  Your hair is so short already, it isn't a huge risk.  It will grow back to where it is within a week in the unlikely event that you don't like it.

So shave that dome and then post some pics!   O:O

Yeah, I have to say go for it. I did. I am seven days sly. And Day Three of my HeadBlade experience. The slight irritation I had is gone gone gone, and the Nivea moisturizer has pretty much done away with the dry flaky crud I had last week when I started. The dome has a nice shine to it, too!

And, now that I have mastered the HeadBlade, I got my routine down to about six minutes in the shower.

1) Soapy hot washcloth, get the cranium all soapy and exfoliate the scalp.
2) Apply HeadSlick (mmmm... menthol!)
3) Shave back-to-front (with the grain) with the HeadBlade
4) Shave front-to-back (against the grain) with the HeadBlade
5) Rotate blade, trim and quick face shave.
6) Cool rinse, towel dry, small dab of Nivea Soft.

It took some practice, but it's really quick and easy now.
