What's up Sly Bros? I started thinking after checking out and posting up on another thread. I think it was the one about how much we spend now vs. when we had hair. But I had mentioned how I use to use Dove bar soap to wash my face and head. Plus shaved my face with it. I got thinking about it and I remembered how good and close a shave it gave me. Then I went back through some old threads and found a few where Warhawk mentioned it's what he used to use to shave the dome. So I just finished up with a shower and shave. I used the dove bar soap and washed the face and dome. Then I lathered some more up real good on my head. I took my Schick Extreme and went to work. It was actually a really good shave. Afterwards I gave the dome a good cold water rinse and then just applied some regular clear aloe vera gel. It's a brand without alcohol. It is a very smooth shave and feels great. No tightness or drying because of the Dove soap. I just wanted to experiment using these two things so I could how it would work. Because now that I know it's a good shave I could actually save a lot of money if I made this my everyday routine. I can get a four pack of the Dove soap at my local store for about $4 bucks. One bar would last me about a month. The brand of aloe vera I use is Fruit of the Earth and it only costs about $4 bucks for a big sized bottle. Don't get me wrong, I love the Bald Guyz products I've been using, as well as switching up to the HeadBlade stuff once in a while, but if you can save money why not? Just thought I'd pass it along.
