Hi guys, I'm new to the site and thought I should make as good a start as any by introducing myself.
My name is Jonathan, I'm 18 and I went sly about a month ago.
Now I know 18 may seem kinda young to be bald, but as I tell myself, it happens. At first I couldn't live with it and I tried everything within my power to keep it a secret, however it all became too much work. When 1 or 2 people noticed my issue, I just tried to ignore it - and I eventually used a few concealers. I had a bit of success with toppik, but soon the time came to admit defeat.
I suppose I am bald by choice, considering that it would grow back if i left it to do so, but at the same time I havent got anything close to a full head of hair.
Sorry to open with so many negative points.
Here come the positives. One month after going sly, I'm in love with it. I shave twice a day and most people that hadn't noticed my hairloss are under the assumption that I simply shave because I want to; not because I have to.
Please tell me what you think of my new look - I would appreciate the feedback as I'm still not 100% comfortable, but I'm getting there!

looks good dude! I'm glad those around you think you shave because you WANT to....once more your in control with that one!
Sounds like you got some smarts in that newly bald head too...finding SLY at that young of an age is awesome...now you can just concentrate on living!

Hey JW, the look is natural for you.
Good head shape, etc, but the most important thing is that YOU have made the decision. You have elected not to hide from who you are, nor to hide your true self from those around you.
Check out the sly celebs section of the forum to see who has gone before you. You will see that you are in good company.

what i can i saw, i know what your're talking about (thinking about that stuff all days and feeling uncomfortable somehow). i didn't start balding at your age, but i can imagin how u fell about.
i'm waiting for the day when life runs normal for me, without thinking too much about.
i think the bald look works for you and hope it will make all things easier for ya!

Looks good bro, glad you took the plunge and you will get use to it. Its just a good feeling to reach up there and feel that slick noggin. Hope you hang around and become an active member...cause the more the merrier...
