I took the wife shopping for most of the day on Saturday. We were in and out of many different stores. We both noticed befor very long that there were stares, but when I made eye contact with the women most said hi with a smile. My wife couldn't believe it. Cool!

That sure does boost the confidence doesn't it?

Get some BaldGuyz sun screen for your new pate, it dries to a non-greasy shine and will keep you from burning your roof like I did yesterday.
http://www.baldguyz.com/I really should follow my own advise!

I still get that response and still love it. And I am nearing my one year anniversary.

Welcome to the forum Q
The moniker "Q" reminds me... you wouldn't happen to have a pen that emits a poisonous gas or maybe a watch that has a built in Geiger counter do you?

I agree that those slight looks or comments are a real boost to the ego!!!
When i first went bald, for a Leukemia Walk in Portland last year, i would have been happy if only my wife liked it.But i received many compliments and now it stays!!
Compliments the moustache as well.

The first reactions to my slick dome were giggles - mainly because everyone thought i shaved it off as some kind of radical joke.
I used to use concealers, so I sort of got away without shaving it, but maybe I should leave it to grow a couple of months to show people why i really shaved it...

That would be a huge step backwards. It takes a little bit of time to get used to -- for you and the people around you -- but in a couple of months people will be saying that they can't remember you with hair. It takes a little while to go from the guy who just shaved his head to "the bald guy" but once you get to that point, there's no going back.

Great ego boost!
I always enjoy those looks and comments. I especially love it when I'm sitting in a bar somewhere and a good looking woman will come up and rub my head.

I had been contemplating shaving my head for awhile because my supervisor at work looked great with a shaved head and I was getting a little thin on top as well. I finally took the plunge and did it. After shaving my head, I showed it to my wife and she didn't speak to me for a couple of days. She now pays it no mind so good to go there. My fellow comrades made those hair jokes to me for awhile and that went away. The biggest fear I feel is the feeling of being unattractive. I am married so no stress here. Once you accept it, you will not look back.
