No point to this post, just whining.
So about 4 weeks ago, my right knee started feeling like a knife was in it. I go to my internist, he sends me to an ortho specialist. X-rays, MRI. Saw the guy on 4-25-08 (he's sly). Osteoarthritis, degenerative. It's the same thing I have in my hands, spine, neck and feet. Basically, nothing to be done about it. My hands sort of 'pop' out and I have to wear a splint for a few days. When my back does it, well it's a week in bed.
So now I have to get some really neat Cortisone injections. I had one in a knee when I was running marathons. That crap hurts for a few days. Suck out some fluid, inject some other fluid. Not looking forward to the 2 foot long needle again. End result will be bionic knees.
Sorry to hear it. I seem to be getting alot more aches and pains lately. Getting old really stinks.
I'm really sorry to hear that bro... my bride has degenerative osteoarthritis, it's very painful for her and has her so physically limited that she can't hardly do any walking. A trip to COSTCO lays her up for two days!
Man, sorry to hear that nla, can't imagine what you are going through. I do know from family members though, that the joint replacements are a real God send in returning to normal living.
