Yeah I got it. I haven't been at a computer in about 5 days.
I got all kinds of advise on how to beat it. My mother came over and made me breath into a pot of boiling water. Other people say green tea, vitamin C and E.
But my grandpa had the best advise. Some cough syrup and a shot of wiskey.
That got me thinking.........what's the weirest cure for a cold that you were given?
The best one I got was to but tea bags on your eyes to help your sinuses.

I don't think I ever had a truely weird cure for a cold. I swear by hot todies (I am not sure if that is how it spelled) a cup of tea with honey, lemon and a shot
or two of whiskey. I found a whiskey that is prefect for them too, it's called Yukon Jack, but any o' whiskey will do it. My mon use to make me do the pot of boiling water with a towel over my head too.

Hot Tea, Whiskey, Lemon and Honey...yummmmmmmm
Don't know if it works, but it's easier to justify the whiskey when it's "medicinal"

It real does work to some extent. I'm sure there is some actual product that does the same thing, but not nearly as tasty. So hottie it is for me come flu time. Medicine is much more effective when you take it.

Strange that you say that, Paul. Oklahoma is not as wet as LA (especial the last time I saw the big easy) but whenever I visit my parents in Phoenix, AZ my sinuses go nuts. I don’t get it.

One of the best cures, barnone for any type of cold or flu is good old New Mexico green chile. Clears the sinuses in a heartbeat, and it tastes good too.

Very true, also those that like sushi can use wasabi (the green stuff).

Best cure-all for me is to drag to the gym, hop in the sauna and sweat it out. Rub down first with rubbing alcohol then sweat. Knocks it up in about a day or two

If I go workout really hard it used to kill my cold or flu. Though, it's really hard to do. It was much easier when I played racquetball. I won two tournaments when I had the flu. It made me concentrate more on hitting better shots.

Then begins the search for a cure for those who were in the sauna with you.

My friend in work talked about those. I'll have to give them a whirl. I'm still not feeling 100%.
