Hey now...I remember the crying indian.  Im not old...yet. 
I have a question for PigPen...the diesel you are talking about....would you really be saving anything?  Look at the price of diesel...$1-$1.10 higher per gallon than reg gasoline.  I dunno, I jus think this gasoline crap has gotten out of hand.  What I want to know is where are these people who said if gas went up to $2.50 a gal.  they werent going to drive anymore?  I seriously think we all should use public transportation and other means of going to and fro more than we are.  People say well I need my car for independence...BULLCRAP....Ok if you need your car to go here and there..dont make 50 trips from home in one given day to just go here or there.  I live in a small town so it is easier for me to get to the places I want to get to by foot, or bike.  So you say...well what if it rains and I have to walk home?  Get a freakin umbrella...ya know those things that pop up and are different colors sometimes...( I like the red and white ones). Do all your grocery shopping in one trip.  Eat out at restaurants less.....enjoy cooking at home, get the whole family involved in helping to prepare dinner.  We do it here, everyone pitches and what is good about that is if they made it...they are more likely to eat it. 

Where am I going with this??  I have no clue, but I think we are all heading back to the 40's and 50's where people did things at home instead of else where.  Before long its going to cost you way more in gas to drive across town just because you need a $1.50 loaf of bread.

I too think the global warming gloom and doom is a bunch of crap, BUT,I do recycle and try to save energy when I can.   I do believe that any warming is a natural phnomenon as it has happened many many times in this planets history.  Do any of you remember the mid to late 1970s?...............the earth was getting colder,  that was the big scare!This surely is a politically driven 'problem'.   just my opinion.
