Straight razors are bad news in my experiences.

I'd love to have a straight razor head shave once in a while but I don't know of anyone around here I'd trust!  ;)

I don't think I'd ever go for a straight razor shave because of this point.  I wouldn't trust anyone enough.  Plus I've probably seen too many horror movies...

It's been a few years now but I used to have this one barber do the whole hot towel straight razor thing for a regular (face) shave and it was heaven!  :@` I sure wish he was still around.

He was old back when I was young and man could that man handle a blade!  ;D

I had one of those in Barcelona years and years ago--my luggage was misplaced!  It was so clean and smooth I didn't have to shave for three days.  Would that I could try that guy on the scalp--probably great.  Maybe someday.

I've gotten some from some greek barbers down in Cali...

awesome job and I loved when the one younger barber asked the older guy in Greek if I wanted it really SHAVED and not buzzed ( I had about a 3 week buzzcut)...once he was sure that I wanted it shaved smooth bald..

he went to town and did the hot towel action ect...

he dug doing it and got it perfect bowlingball smooth! O0

I want one so bad but can't find anyone around here to do it because they have all stopped because of "health" issues.   :'(

I'll keep looking though.

Let's find a barber close to a hospital or a blood bank. Maybe both.

I've had a straight razor face shave and it is awesome really crisp and clean. I have seen straight razor head shaves but they always end up with 2 or 3 nicks and cuts.

There are many barber shops in my area that do razor shaves.  I have never had a problem getting cut.  My advice is to find someone older and experienced in a busy shop.
