My ears are bleeding

If I didn't know better, I'd say that they deliberately did a bad job for the comedic effect:

Seriously, they must be stopped.

This is not a talented pair here, this is Achey Breaky heart and a cute Disney show star.

Cute does not equal talent. Because you are on TV does not mean you can automatically sing!!!

GIVE ME TALENT IN MY MUSIC OR GIVE ME OLDIES!!

Amen!  It's a crying shame how much money these two no-talents have raked in while there are plenty of artists who are far more worthy but go unnoticed.

Gotta love the music industry.

People, namely the 12-24 demographic will shell out money to listen to this kind of trash. Much better artists go their whole careers unnoticed as true musicians often are never heard as they might not be marketable. Record companies and promoters will only behind someone or something if they think it will make them money.

Modest Mouse are a perfect example of this. Formed in 1993 and having gained an enormously large following they only recently found commerical succes with their most recent album We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank which was released in 2007.Their 6th studio album

Exactly, thats why I never felt the slightest amount of guilt with the whole Napster thing years ago.

If I really want to buy someones music, I try to get it from the band directly.

I wish people would spend more time choosing their music instead of just accepting what is stuffed down their throat.

There is so much bad music out there now. I've basically given up on commerical radio. I listen to a local college station. They play mostly stuff you would NEVER hear on commercial radio. Man it's refreshing......

Same here.  I only listen to music on digital cable and my own CDs and iPod nowadays.  Makes it hard to keep up with any new stuff that's out there, but there's very little new stuff worth listening to anyway.

Ok, I thought I would check a couple of more videos on her before I made a decision seeing that was recorded from a TV with a camcorder, not any better. I also see where she is suppose to be something young girls can look up too???? If I had a daughter I would forbid it. Check this american idol vid where she performs like a tramp, a 15 year old ho!

Plus if you listen to the original recording of that first song with dad that is not her singing on the low female vocals... ridiculas!

When I first heard the song on the radio, my immediate thought was that she couldn't decide what key she wanted to sing in -- so if it is actually someone else singing, that would explain that.   Amazing that people are actually paying $2,000 a ticket to hear her "sing".   Her audience will tire of her in a year or two, but in the meantime, she's going to rake in a lot of $$$.

Meanwhile, there are music legends and icons who can't get radio airplay.   :/O
