Hey guys,
I need some advice/opinions.
Lately I've faced some comments by friends/family in regards to my slyness.
Just this weekend I was on a motorbike ride with my father, he was commenting on a picture of a few years ago when I had hair. He was saying that i looked so much better with longer hair. Also my friends have been saying the same thing.
Its made me start to reconsider my slyness.
You all know I love being Sly and I love the feeling of a smooth dome. I particularly love the look of it on me.
My question to everyone is this, A. should i keep the smooth dome. And B. Is there a way to improve the the look on me?

Hey bro, you need to ask yourself what you like. I think you look fine shaved but also with hair.
Your about to hit spring/summer, so you will be getting some sun on the dome. Not alot to improve on!
You can change your facial hair, shave the stash, keep the goat. Thin beard down the chin or none, etc.
Do what makes you feel good and forget everyones opinion, the bottom line is you live with it.
You may even switch from summer-bald to winter-hair. Personally, I do what attracts more women to me because I like the attention, and for me its definately the shaved look.
Either way you go, you just need to always keep it Sly!

Hey Brother, I would say It does,nt matter what any one else says or thinks about your look cos if your happy with the Sly look, then keep it ( I personaly think it suits you). If deep down your not then grow your hair back to how it was, but what ever you do, do it cos its what you want! Nothing else matters!

I think you look good either way, and I'm a little jealous that you have the option. Maybe you could split the time... say 4 or 5 of the colder months grow some hair, and keep it sly the rest of the time. Glad to hear you're still hanging here. Let us know what you decide.

I am happy being sly, It just bugs me that most my friends started out saying it looks cool, but now they've changed their minds back.
Further to the story with my Dad yesterday, He went on to say that he thinks that i should grow it while i still can. He has a personal trainer who is a sly guy and he shaves his head because he doesn't like his bright red hair.
Dad did however ask me why I shave my head, I said "Because I can, and its something different for a while".
My dad refuses to believe that I have the beginnings of MPB.
Anyway, I always intended on keeping it Sly, just their comments get to me sometimes.

It looks to me like you have 2 good options. Either look good on you. So just decide what you like and others will eventually adapt.

out: there's your answer right there: "i am happy being sly". that's all that really matters. i'm glad that U R doing what makes U happy and it looks like U R gonna keep the noggin' slick & smooooth.
Anyway, I always intended on keeping it Sly, just their comments get to me sometimes.

thanks for the reply posts guys.
My dad's comments just got to me yesterday, It makes me feel like i look rediculous with a smooth dome. I know i like the look on me, just that no one else seems to.
Before I moved out last year I had hair and no earrings, so i think they still see me as a kid and not the handsome man I am now.

Outsider,I think you look good either way but I have to be honest and say that I think you look better with the hair.Of course that's just my own personal opinion.It does not mean that you don't look good without it.You can go either way.The bottom line is to do what your gut feeling tells you.Also you don't look like you're starting with MPB to me.I say enjoy the hair while you have it and then down the line if MPB becomes noticable you have plenty of time to shave it. However this is entirely up to you.

I think you look good sly, to me it is much more than just about the look. Non sly people just don't get it, so don't worry what others say, if you like it.
There must be a nickname for people with hair. Nudists have one for people who wear clothes, it is Textiles. "Here come some Textiles to take a look!". -

well i do have to say ...your fathers opinion is going to affect you more than your friends ideas...how you look is your choice..not theres....you could have hair and were the wrong cloths....then your father would have something to say about it...I have learned there is no pleasing anyone but my self.......and yes i scare kids..but my three kids love my bald head...so as for what other people think ...i say...do what you feel is better for you not other people...and as for the father thing they are the hardest persons to please....

This quote is exactly correct in my experience. I just used this the other day. At my Little League practice one of the kids on my team who's dad helps me out was busting my butt about not having hair. Well one of other assisstant coaches is also SLY. I just looked at him and said," He just doesn't get it does he?". We both laughed and the other guy said "what do you mean?". Us two SLY guys just laughed again and I said" You better hope your wife never sleeps with a SLY guy". My other SLY coach and I cracked up and just walked aeay. The other guy ( a good friend of mine) just gave an uncomfortable laugh and looked kind of dumb founded.
Sorry!!!! I didn't mean to hijack the thread! I think you are one of the rare guys that looks good either way. DO WHAT YOU WANT!!! It's your life.......
