Could This Guy Just Be Put To Sleep!
« on: April 12, 2008, 12:05:12 AM »
Well,it happened again.Remember that guy who keeps bringing up that I should get a hair transplant? He called tonight and after a few minutes he told me that he sees a lot of ads for Bosley and how lots of guys are going for transplants and are happy to finally get hair.So I told him that it's too extreme and surgery is a risk.I also told him that these guys obviously feel empty like something is missing from their lives and that's why they do this.I told him confidence means a lot. He then said that if there's things out there to make you look better why not go for it and I told him that you could still look good without looking like a movie star clone.I also told him he was shallow and obsessed with this.

I also said that most of these GQ guys are stuck up with no personality. He kept repeating "what's wrong with looking good" It was as if he didn't hear a word I said.I told him that if people want to go through that, fine, but it's not for everybody. The fact that he brought this up again for the umpteenth time makes me think there's something seriously wrong with him.I am truely disgusted with this a$$hole.I really don't want to bother with him anymore.I forgot I keep a whistle by the phone.Next time I should blow it and bust his Goddamm eardrum. Please guys do you think I should avoid him from now on.He dosen't offer anything to the friendship.

Treat people with respect, or just ignore them!

I always tell my wife that in order to climb to the peak, you need to let go of the extra baggage.  This guy sounds like he's some extra baggage.
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

Move on. True friends may want to help you, but this guy's insistence goes way beyond wanting to help. Once you explained your position, he should have let it drop. That he didn't indicates it's not you he's wanting to help.

try just not saying nothing. when he brings it up just look at him or just be silent as you are defending a non issue. he is leading you into a defensive conversation and you feel like you need to defend yourself of what? when you respond it just gives him more reasons to try and convince you of what you don't need  and show your confidence by not responding. i cant blame people of thinking this way to a certain extent as the commercials are very convincing and this is there marketing ploy to get the insecure.
so show you are secure and don't respond. its a non issue my Friend.
