I have a budgerigar named Phoenix, we have had him for nearly 5 years but he has a tumor on his wing and I am thinking of having him put down.

I had a cat for 2 weeks about 2 years ago but he got run over and I didnt have the heart to replace him.

We have a white Akita named Ted E. We adopted him 2 years ago from Midwest Akita Rescue in Chicago. He's a great dog, good with other dogs and loves kids. Prior to that we had 2 Akitas, a female named Kepi and a male named Mas. When we had them put to sleep Kepi was 14 and Mas was 12. That was the worst day of my life. Kepi was mostly my wife's dog but Mas was my 140 lb lap dog/buddy. It's been 2 years since they left us and I still get wet eyes when I think about him. He was a once in a lifetime dog, as far as I'm concerned. I know that he would have died for me without hesitation. We used to watch tv together, all 140 lbs curled up on my lap. My eyes are stinging now.....thanks for this thread! This was good for me.

3- horses 1 lab and 1 Australian Shepard. with my horses i use to learn horsemanship like the Mexican vaqueros as they were the best horseman and cattleman . when they ride it is like the man and horses are 1 and you cant even tell how he controls the horse not to mention how well their horses are trained.also they were great with a lariat and its amazing how they can control a rope .

the lab is my hunting dog as i am a total avid bird hunter. duck hunting is my favorite. again it comes down to having a trained dog as there is nothing like seeing a dog work and have them want to guide them to their mark. i enjoy working the dog more than than the hunting and would even go and leave the gun at home as long as i get to work my dog.
