Custom clubs are a great addition for any avid golfer. While I agree to an extent that a good tradesman doesnt blame his tools, it also helps to have a great set of tools to start with to help you play to the best of your ability.

For the last 4 years I have been playing with my wifes grandfathers set of Virginia woods and irons circa 1965. The woods are actually made of Wood! I dont play enough golf to warrant spending 500-1000 on a really good set.
