D#tG3t I'm late here to the war between the Slys  @rg$ and am afraid to say anything, but here goes.  Schro, I have never taken you as being 'holier than thou' -- quite the contrary... laid back and easy to get along with.  Lance, I always felt that you are a down-to-earth, good guy too, one that I would love to have a beer with (oooh, that sounds good on a Friday).  There must be some misunderstanding or long overdue PM'ing that needs to go on... communication: good, blowing up due to lack of communication: decidedly NOT good.  I hope you guys can get this straightened out.  I'll drink to that.   b!3r b!3r b!3r

Deb, I'm still glad you joined.  How does this compare to the cat-fights you see with women friends?

Thanks for the kind words, Stu. Hopefully McClane (Lance) will come back and acknowledge your post.

I'm still not sure why...

Yes I'm still in the dark with this too, can someone or a Moderator please explain why this particular thread has gotten to this.

Most of the beginning of this thread was expunged/ sanitized; whatever you might want to call it.  If I can recall properly the 'trouble' began when someone expressed the opinion that the miliary was not the greatest place to be -- there might have been some allusions to the war in Iraq being 'wrong' --- don't quote me.   So I guess in this way it got a little political.   Oh yeah; one thing i remember is that Deb said something like her boyfriend both looked more 'conservative' and that he LOOKED more 'conservative' now too with his shaved head.   Someone else gave a " 2 thumbs up "   to this ; thus advocating  'conservative' political views.   Then there were some responses to that . ...

I hope this clears up the confusion at least somewhat as to how the thread got so heated.

BTW;   Lance / McClane  seems to  have dropped his membership -- my PM to him did not go through.  Damn;   I really like that guy; don't want to loose him as a friend.  Does anyone happen to have his personal email address?

By the way ;    Sorry for my part in all of this.   I injected some 'political' comments into this thread; just couldn't resist.   Personally; I think political views ARE something that we should be able to discuss in here.   We express all kinds of opinions, such as "comb-overs are an abomination" (without hating or condemning the guy WITH the combover, i hope) ..   having  taboos on certain subjects limits the 'wholeness' of this site, i feel

All I will say is that the thread never got overly heated at the point it was pulled, but there were opinions expressed on both sides of the political aisle that clearly indicated it was going to get very nasty, very quickly. Rather than let it get out of control, it was pulled (in its entirety).

Deb-T then reposted her boyfriend's pictures at the request of some so they could see the difference in his appearance before and after he shaved his dome.

One thing  I will say. I'll not say if I am right, left or center but I am against censorship in any way shape or form .

it doesnt offend me when someone says the military isnt a good life. I just acknowledge it, jump in my new truck, and head to my new house and play with all my toys.  :D

Sure! I heard peeing on your lawn will help green it! In the summer I strictly piss on the lawn. No toilet for me!

I must have been typing too fast in my previous post.  Deb said that her boyfriends political views were getting more consevative; just as his shaved head  looks more 'conservative.'

As Schro said; the thread was NOT  particularly heated at the time it was pulled.  I disagree, though; that it was destined to get ugly.    Why expect the worst of people?

My sincere wish is for people to settle their differences - and I really hope no-one leaves the group.

The unwitting culprit was myself. When I mentioned Danny looking and being more conservative, it was a neutral statement. Just a fact, and I didn't mean that it was necessarily good or bad.

I'm so sorry because of the trouble, and would far rather people blamed me than fell out with each other!
