What's the weidest thing you've ever seen on the side of the road?

HA... everyone else has got nothing on this:

One night when I was going through C school at Dam Neck in Virginia Beach, a few friends and I were out at a club.  It was cold and rainy and we all were kind of tipsy, but not falling down drunk.

So, we're driving the back roads back to the base about 2:30am and I see something ahead on the side of the road.  As we get closer, it is a dude, totally naked except for a ball cap and sneakers, hitchhiking!  Everyone in the car was stone cold silent until about a minute or two later when one of the guys piped up with... "Did anyone else noticed the naked dude on the side of the road back there?" at which point we all starting laughing and saying that we didn't want to say anything in case he really wasn't there!

And you didnt offer him a ride?  Wow..poor guy...prolly got dumped by a chick and she took off with his clothes..I would have at least handed him a kleenex...to cover up with...lol

i can't think of anything "weird" but there is a jogger here in beautiful pensacola that is known locally as THE RUNNING MAN.  anyways... everytime he jogs he ALWAYS carries and waves an AMERICAN FLAG that is 3feet by 5feet in length.   everytime U pass him... he waves at U.

if you pay attention to it, it is almost always the right shoe. not sure why, but it always seems to be the right shoe.

Paulie, if it's the right shoe, I'm guessing it's because passengers are sticking their right foot out the window and losing the shoe.

So, I wasn't the person that drove by this, because I was one of the people at the scene, but I'm sure someone would write about this if they saw it.

One night at home I got a frantic call from the girl I was dating at the time.  She had called to say that she had got in a wreck on this old country road that her dad lived on.  She was alright but both of her parents were busy and she wanted me to come get her.  She was calling from the ranch house that she crashed in front of.  I headed out there and upon arriving found her outside next to her mom's brand new Honda Civic.  The whole side was dented in and there was brown stuff all along side of the car.  I got out, gave her a hug and asked her what happened.  She said that she was driving down the road and came around the bend and there were two cows in the middle of the road.  She slammed on the breaks and the car turned sideways and kept sliding until she hit one of the cows.  Being from the country, I had heard of this before, but what came next about had me die from laughter:

I then asked, "what happened to the cow?"  She said, "it's dead over in the ditch."
Then I asked, "You only hit a cow?  What's the brown paint on the side of the car?"  She said, "that's not paint, it's cow sh*t"
I almost died laughing.  She did too!  Even the rancher who lost the cow couldn't stop laughing.  He said that in the 5 cows he's lost to someone hitting them with a car, he's never seen where the cow sprayed sh*t all along side of the car. 
Right as we were laughing one of the neighbors drove by and saw us standing next to the car with a dent and cow sh*t along side of it.

I don't think this story really belongs here but here it goes.

A few years ago i was going to Bridger Bowl in Bozeman, MT for the last day of ski season, and there was a naked dude in goggles, a banana hammock, and ski boots carrying his poles and skis walking towards the ski hill with his thumb sticking out.  the best part is that i got a ride from a car full of ski bunnies.
