What's the weidest thing you've ever seen on the side of the road?

Today on the drive home from work out on a country road...... I passed.... a whole loaf of bread, still in the wrapper!

Well, in Japan I walked past 3 guys, each dressed in full business suits and their brief cases on the curb.  The odd thing is that they were lying down...asleep!

I bet I have everyone beat.  In 1980, while crossing the great Bonneville Salt Flats on the interstate that runs between Salt Lake City and Wendover, NV, we saw woman kneeling beside a VW Beetle peeing in a coke can.  Everyone looked twice to make certain it was real.  It was.

Everytime I hear a story about Wendover, NV I hear something strange...

Every year I head out that way, but turn north on 93 at Wells, NV before getting to Wendover.

Well considering where I live...smack dab in hte middle of redneck country...nothing is really strange. The only thing I can think of is one time I was out on a measurement for work in the country and out in the middle of no where...and I mean no where....no houses in site is a telephone attached to the side of a telephone pole.  I stopped...walked over to it and picked it up..and it worked.  Come to find out it was in teh middle of amish country and it was a community phone LOL

The only thing I can think of is one time I was out on a measurement for work in the country and out in the middle of no where...and I mean no where....no houses in site is a telephone attached to the side of a telephone pole.  I stopped...walked over to it and picked it up..and it worked.  Come to find out it was in teh middle of amish country and it was a community phone LOL

My wife and I were going to dinner with another couple one night.  We were driving through the country and I had to piss, so I had my friend pull over to the side of the road.  I step off the road, start to piss and I hear the brush start to move.  I'm like what the hell?!  It gets louder....I'm still pissing.  The brush opens up and standing in front of me is a lama!     I screamed like a girl and ran back to the car where my friends were all laughing at me.  Come to find out we had pulled over right next to a lama farm and they must have been out grazing.  Scared the sheet out of me!

I remember many years ago I was driving with some friends to a weekend of partying (fishing, golfing, etc). We past a few dairy farms and there was one field of cows. All of them were just standing around, like.....cows.....except one. He was standing up "getting his freak on" with another cow.  Hey everyone's gotta get some, but it amazed me that this cow was going at it in the middle of all his cow buddies. A field of cows, and this lone cow standing tall "gettin' busy". No sweet talk, no "hey baby, wanna get busy behind the barn?" 

When I take road trips with the family, we often pass some farms with herds of cows. Now I fear seeing that same thing with my kids in the car.

11pm...driving North on the Pacific Highway around 8 hours north of Sydney....pass extremley large animal carcass on shoulder...dusty colored...almost tan...no way could it be a kangaroo....we are talking the size of a small car....did a u-turn,came back around..pulled over in front...turns out....It was a dead camel...right there on the side of the road...this thing had to be over 1000lbs...upon arrival at my destination I learned there is a camel farm that rents camels to people to ride on the beach...one must have gotten loose

HA... everyone else has got nothing on this:

One night when I was going through C school at Dam Neck in Virginia Beach, a few friends and I were out at a club.  It was cold and rainy and we all were kind of tipsy, but not falling down drunk.

So, we're driving the back roads back to the base about 2:30am and I see something ahead on the side of the road.  As we get closer, it is a dude, totally naked except for a ball cap and sneakers, hitchhiking!  Everyone in the car was stone cold silent until about a minute or two later when one of the guys piped up with... "Did anyone else noticed the naked dude on the side of the road back there?" at which point we all starting laughing and saying that we didn't want to say anything in case he really wasn't there!
