thinking about it
« on: April 06, 2008, 03:25:18 PM »
Hi guys!

I'm thinking about shaving since long ago, i'm 22, i like it but i know some people, in particular with some of my family that would get angry @c3 and eventough i cant stop thinking of it, i like balding (at least the look and how others look better with it), but i'm afraid that i wont like my bald head and it's difficult to have a idea, and i like my hair, and i have a lot, so i feel comfortable with it, it's like a confortable idea to not do it, like an excuse. and i dont know if shaving head is a quick process after a time bebing shaved, because i'm bored of every day of trying to comb my crazy hair, spending some times a lot of time and i'm too busy, and a bit lazy so i dont know if it would take more time.

What do you think?

First of all, welcome to the site.

If you're thinking about it or want to do it, you can't let other people's opinions control whatyou do.  The others around you will eventually adapt or at least get over it.  You gotta do what suits you.  I say you at least owe it to yourself to give it a try.

Best of luck,
Rick

I agree with what Rick said but as far as the time factor its at least half the time of what you'd spend drying and styling your hair if not less and like some here you could go with the every other day thing.

Welcome Baldb.   If you are thinking about going sly, the idea will not go away until you do it....so go for it.  A huge part of going the sly route is the confidence it gives you in being your own man.

Welcome! You've landed in the right place. If you're curious, there's only one way to find out. Start out by just going a lot shorter, but not shaved. Or go for slick bald in one swipe of the clipper or razor. Really, there's only one person who has to like it and decide if it's a keeper. The confidence surge (or lack of) will help you decide!

What do I think?

Welcome to the board.

It's been over 3 weeks and the fear is long gone.

I no longer worry about thinning. It's like a new found freedom.

Go for it.

I think you know the answer to your own question.  Just shave it and if you dont like it....IT WILL GROW BACK.  its just like mowing your lawn.  If when I mowed my lawn and it didnt grow back I would be estatic....that would be great...but it does...it only grows back faster..lol

Just shave it and see if you like it, it's not permanent if you don't.

Hey bro, you're 22 now, and well, you're an adult, which means that you don't need to get approval from your family before doing things, especially things that have to do with how you dress or wear your hair.  Go for it!
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.
