Wish me luck

What's up my Sly Bros?  I got plenty of support before when I was trying out for the fire department so I'm hoping I can count you all to say a prayer for me now.  Those of you who know my background about my job situation know that I've been a stay at home dad for the past two years now.  I applied to become a 911 dispatcher about 6 months ago and I received a call from them about a week ago to start the hiring process.  I took a tour of the facility and interviewed with them.  I took four different tests and did well on all of them.  Typing, common sense scenarios, etc...They liked me a lot.  Well, of course because I just oozed of slyness.   O:O  ;D  They said they would get back to me within the next week or so.  In this same time period I had also started thinking hard on my idea of wanting to become a registered nurse.  So I got off my butt and stopped whining and came up with a plan.  I applied to a local hospital around the corner from me for all the positions they had opened that I could qualify for without any experience.  I thought if I really want to do this then I can and I just need to get to it.  So I figured if I can get any job at this hospital no matter what it was I can at least get my foot in the door.  It's a pretty well know hospital around my area and has it's own nursing school.  Just about every job there offers tuition reimbursement.  I just found out after checking my e-mail that they want to interview me next week.  It's for the warehouse distributing at the hospital.  Basically, I'll be stocking supplies throughout the hospital.  If all goes well and I can get this job I plan to use their tuition reimbursement to start school and go for becoming a RN.  The 911 dispatcher job would be my back up.  If you have time in the next few days throw a prayer out there for me to get one of these jobs.  More importantly the hospital one.  I really need something like this right now.

Just like before, prayers on their way, bro and good luck.   You should check with warhawk for the details and expectations of the RN.  Might give ya a leg up.

Prayers for you Lance. And good for your for really pursuing what you want in life. Too many people wait for life to come to them instead of chasing it down.

Awesome Lance.  It sounds like a great plan, and I'm sure the benefits at the hospital are great.  Good luck!  Let me know if you need any help getting ready for the interview...
