Pure Aloe Vera Gel

I have to give it up to Timmayyy for pushing his routine with the clear aloe vera gel. I used this after my shave with the shave secret this morning and it really does make the dome feel good after the shave. It has a natural cooling effect on the dome that rocks. Plus I put mine in the fridge last night like Tim does and it helps add to the good feeling. The one I use is by Fruit of the Earth. It states that it is 100% aloe vera. But it does contain some additives so it's not exactly 100% pure. But what is now a days. You know? But if any of you are bored and feel like trying a different routine a while give it a shot. But make sure to use the clear "pure" kind of aloe vera. Really helps on irritations and especially any redness. Another thing the FotE is good for is blemishes. I put a little dab on a pimple I had the other night and it shrunk it right up. My routine this morning went, shower shave with Shave Secret, cold water rinse, ice cube, witch hazel, Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera Gel.

Thats awesome Lance.....glad to know that someone else is enjoying the Aloe also. Now I dont feel like such the loner. LOL Another good thing about the aloe is the price. Inexpensive .....you get alot for the money...but the key thing too is dont use alot....it will make your head sticky feeling. Just imagine too ...this summer the nice cooling effect it will have on your noggin after a hard days work outside....OOOOHHHHHHHHH I cant wait...

Yeah, that's for sure about the sticky feeling. The other thing about not using a lot is it will cause flaking. It will seem like you aren't really doing anything but trust me all you need is about a dime size, if that, for your entire head. I've used it after I shaved under the neck this morning too and it worked wonders. I always get red and irritated around that area and the regular old aloe vera helped. Another good spot where I get some usual irritation, and I believe most others, is at the base of the back of the neck. The aloe vera helps with that too.

I have been checking on line for a total genuine 100% aloe vera product. Of course you can order some online but their are a few health stores that carry it. I think Jason's brand is one and Aubrey Organics is another. But I'm cool with the kind I can get in a regular store. Yeah, it has some additives that are a little questionable but what the heck won't hurt you now a days. Right?

I've been using clear aloe vera after shaving also, and it's become my regular routine. Was alternating between moisturelle, aloe vera, and another (unnamed) product. The aloe really seemed to work best for me. I'm actually using CVS brand at this point, but it's worked great.

Hey guys,
I've been rotating between using Banana Boat aloe (the green stuff) and HeadSlick, but do lean towards the aloe. My head doesn't feel nearly as greasy. I also use aloe on the spot's I've missed around my ears when touching up with a regular razor. It works great!
My routine has been shower shave, cold water rinse (freakin cold but it wakes you up), ClearHead and aloe.

I use Jason aloe vera gel and like it a lot (avail. in health food stores. I use a small dab mixed with a bit of water ( and right after rinsing the head; so it's still damp) -- I'm told the gel works with the water to maximize the moisturizing effect .
Also ; Jason makes a product called WithchAloe which mixes witch hazle with the aloe vera . Great for Shaving !!
