I was missing the wife and kids pretty badly (yeah i know I sound like a puss). So I got a wild hair and went out and got a new tattoo. It's a classic heart tattoo with an arrow thru it dripping blood. The heart has a banner across it with my wife's name in it.
I didn't tell the wife about it and when she saw it when i got home she was VERY happy...... I mean REALLY happy.
I didn't think I'd ever get flash work done (my first tattoo is a large custom piece half sleeve) but it's a classic design that is cool.

Mike, nice to see you just went for it. I am thinking the same thing lately.
And remember, old school is always good, it's where it all started.
All of my many tatt's are old school flash, and I'm happy with them.
I am going to be looking for a similar tat (style), to yours, with my wife and daughters name in it.
(And I know the feeling you speak of, you puss, lol).
Last weekend my wife went away for a seminar in Cali, and my daughter stayed with a friend. Talk about not knowing what to do with yourself. At night when I came home from work I felt so alone.
