Mach3 Jetables
« on: March 05, 2008, 04:08:27 PM »
I was wondering if any of you guys have bought the new Gillette Mach3 Jetables.
They're on sale just about everywhere this week.
Many stores are offering $3.00 rebates.

I have seen these and noticed there was a $3 coupon in this last Sunday's paper.  I might give them a try just to have a disposable around.  Gillette must be in the mood for making changes to their Mach III.  I noticed that they also no longer are selling the 4-packs.  The smallest is now a 5-pack.  I did the math and the cost per blade went up.  Just looks confusing when you see the new packs.

Gillette is obnoxious.  They still sell the Atra blades which I always used for my face, but my handle broke years ago.  The company doesn't sell them anymore, and I think they have done that same thing with 1 or 2 of their other shaving razors yet they continue to sell the blades.  I think I am the only person on the planet who has never purchased something on ebay, but for some reason, you CAN purchase new Atra handles that are factory sealed.  Who are these people that sell these things when the company hasn't sold them in retail stores for years???  Is it a conspiracy by Gillette to rip off the consumer even more than they already do?   :/O
How is that Hopey / Changey thing working for you?

I got one of these in the mail as a freebie a few weeks back. I used it to shave my face..... with some hesitation becuase in the past ALL disposables gave me terrible irratation.

But there was NO irritation and I got excellent shaves from it for about a week before I tossed it.

I think by law a company has to sell replacement parts for a certain number of years.

They don't make the Camaro anymore either but I bet quite a few people are glad they still make parts for them ;)

I picked up a package of these last week, used it on the noggin' and got a great shave.

I will add them to my rotation now and then, but will probably use them mostly for cleanup.

They really work great, and no irritation whatsoever. I recommend them as part of your arsenal in the quest of smoothness.     ;)

I missed this I guess.   For the months of September and October I used these "jetables".
Using Gillette shave gel I was able to shave with and against the grain with one of the jetables here.
After that, I would get lots of irritation so I would throw them out.   I could also do 3 shaves with each
blade if I only shaved with the grain.

Now that I have the bald guyz shave gel I will try and use one of these for 4 shaves going with and against
the grain.  I might end up cutting myself but I am curious to see what happens.  Lately, I have been able to
use my Mach 3 blades on more occasions with the bald guys shave gel as compared to using Gillette shave gel.
I don't know but I really like these Gillette Mach3 Jetables more than the famous Mach 3 razor.

I tried the Mach III disposables recently.  They gave a great shave.  The only downside was that the blades didn't last as long as the non-disposable Mach III blades.
