Shick Quattro Titanium Trimmer?
« on: March 05, 2008, 03:55:34 AM »
Wandering around grocery store yesterday i saw a new razor... a Shick Quattro Titanium Trimmer!

Basically it's a Shick Quattro, however it has a small clipper on the bottom of the handle.

I've never been a fan of Shick blades... I never get that "baby butt smooth" shave i want. I think it's because of the safety wires they wrap around the blades, but who knows.

At any rate, because I'm a harry beast, I have a "micro clipper" in my toiletry bag to deal with unwanted shoulder & back hair.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried this "modern marvel." If so, how well do the clippers work for general man-scaping needs

I've never had much success with getting a close shave with Shick products nither,, having said that I am a sucker for new gadgets and it does looc cool.

Here is a link to their website showing that razor. http://www.schickquattro.com/sq_home_flash.cfm Did you happen to notice the price??

It's not available in canada yet, so if anyone would like to send me one, I'll post up a review!!

Sorry... regular price was $12.99 or $8.99 with a frequent shopper card... no clue on blades though

looking at flash, it looks like this thing also has single "touch-up" blade on the back of the head like the Fusion

I have seen this and even considered picking one up.  $9.96 at Wal-mart.  It uses the regular Quattro blades that are around $10/4.  I already have 2 other Quattro's so I'll wait to see if anyone else buys this and thinks the trimmer is worth it.

Saw the ad on TV, but hadn't seen it in the stores yet.

Well. curiosity killed the cat, satisfaction brought it back...

I picked up this behemoth today while i was running errands.

it has a rather large handle & does have some heft to it.

it comes with 1 AA battery and one blade. the blade does have a fusion style single "touch-up" blade. The clipper on the bottom is about 1/2 inch wide. The guard has 3 positions for length, & you can remove it for a closer shave.

The power button is only for the clippers, but this viabrates the clippers like a power fusion or Mach 3. The clippers are a bit on the loud side & you cannot adjust the blade if it gets out of alignment.

Due to the hectic week I've had, i have not shaved da dome since Sunday, so I'll see how close the clippers

Haha, you beat me to it, I just picked one up tonight it was $ 9.96 at Walmart here in Canada. I must say I was rather surprised that the even had it yet, because we never get the cool new stuff here in Canada that fast, it's usually out for about a year in the USA first.

But I'm going to use mine tonight also, to see how I like it. Oh and the blades were $ 10.99
