He was awesome. Loved to watch him play.
Shoot, he could still start for 80% of the teams in the NFL.
Guess he really wanted Randy Moss to come to GB.
Sorry to all the Bear Fans on SBG for saying this, but I hate to see him retire.

i'm not a packer fan but i was a big brett favre fan.  i just loved the way he played the game.  he was a true warrior in the field.  it's 2 bad the packer management couldn't really surround him with more quality players.  i'm going 2 miss his passion and his presence.  he was fun 2 watch.  he truly played the game with intensity.

Well said, by both Warhawk and Schro. I hate to see Favre retire as well. He is a man who truly loves to play the game. He's got some big shoes to fill too.

Not only was he a great quarterback, but he was a true sportsman. Always positive, a good role model for younger players. He seems like such a nice guy in all the interviews I've ever seen him in. Not just the Packers, but the entire NFL is taking a huge loss with his retirement. He had a damn good run though.

I heard rumor this AM that his agent is gauging interest from certain teams. I hope the Ravens are one of those teams..........

I am a lifelong Packers fan and Brett's retirement was very sad for me.  I honestly think they may be a little better without him.  I know it sounds crazy, but Aaron Rodgers did look pretty good against the Cowboys and he is more mobile.  I will miss Brett terribly but it had to end someday.  I just wish I had seen him play, I always make it back to Green Bay in the Summer but never during the season.

Being British living in England and i have lots of cousins in milwakee wisconsin, so greenbay is the team i follow, very unlucky that would have rounded Brett FAVREs carear of a treat winning the super bowl, failed by a dodgy field goal in extra time...

Brett Favre was a great example of a championship world class, highly paid athlete who never let it go to his head. A great role model for kids and adults alike.

Brett Favre will be missed by all. My only regret is that he should have stayed a Falcon.

Sorry to all the Bear Fans on SBG for saying this, but I hate to see him retire.

No offense taken by this Bears fan, Schro. After all, in this last exemplary season that the Packers had (13-3), they lost only once to the Cowboys and twice to my beloved Bears. Not too bad, eh!
