My little one is too young to play yet but I usually try to sing to him

My son, who is in a band, tried out a year or so back for fun. he did it on a whim. He said the screening process is an absolute joke. He kind of laughed about it and just shook his head.

I'm too old now as well, Max. Missed the boat last year because of logistics. Oh well, I had a feeling before, about what Mike's son said. They want the ratings more than they want to find someone that can sing.

          That's Exactly the impression my son got. He told me he wasn't the greatest singer there (but he is pretty good) but he said some mighty fine voices got left out  so that some little bimbos in tight jeans could get thru.

Yeah: it's like that in 'X Factor' over here: all the bad singers get the laughs and the viewers, at the expense of the better singers.  can't believe anyone could sing as BAD as some of the contestants they have on there!
