Info on Lasering the Dome

Hey guys sorry because i have not been around much. I changed jobs and now i am back.
I have been sly for 6 years now. And want to share some info about the lasering process because on Dec 2006 i started to laser my dome in order to get rid of the shadow, the daily shaving, the bumps, the cuts, you name it.
Some of you asked some questions and here go the answers.
-Info on the machines.
There are several types of machines, some are for white skin and some are for darker or more tanned skins.
There are some newer machines that are kinder with your skin, the older ones are a bit more painful.
PAIN ISSUES.
If you are (like me) very white skin, and veeery dark hair you are in for a treat of pain.
The machine or device that shoots the laser to your scalp covers the area of a quarter coin and they have to shoot all your head ir order to get all your head to go.
You have to arrive shaved to the appointment.
The pain is sharp, but very temporary, i told in a post that it is like when getting a tattoo done, it hurts right that moment, but what i did (since i was in it and there was no way out) was to think on the long run, i am not going to shave anymore, no more shadow, etc... and that helps a lot.
On the good side, if you have very white skin and very light hair (blonde or light brownish) you are not going to feel that much pain.
One thing i forgot... the laser does not get white hair, so in the areas where you have some white hair going on, it is going to stay there for good, on my case i have like 10 white hairs, so it is not a problem. But if you have a substantial amount of white hair, forget it.
The process has been slow, i am experiencing the best results until now when i have more than a year going through with it.
You have to follow some pointers though, after each session DO NOT shave until the 15th day.
Anyway i will stop writing.
If you have more doubts i will be glad to help a fellow sly brother.
shoot an email or post it here, do as you please.
my email is rveyron@gmail.com
Hope this helps
Regards

The pain I could deal with, it's the 15 days without shaving that would drive me nuckin' futs.

Hey man, it is not what you think.
Those 15 days your hair does not grow at all.
All you have to do is exfolliate vigorously daily.
That helps remove all the lasered hair that is still inside the pore but is not attached to you.
The hair takes like 10 days to start growing again... and yes you can shave, but like just one time in that time frame, why? because then you are reversing the process, you are stimulating the hair to grow back and that is not what we want.
So you pretty much will be fine.
I hope this helps.
See ya

Hey there, it costed me around $700 dollars the whole process.
I did it in a mexican franchise that is called depilite.
you can see their work at depilite.com, i think they have businesses in the US.

Veyron, do you have any pic of your lasered dome from sides/back
somewhere?? can you post them here??
Am very curious about seeing the actual results of lasering...
am going for the scalp hair tweezing myself, but am still not done
with it, I guess you still can see some trace of shadow on my scalp
even if the look is overall totally bald... would like to see the difference
from a lasered scalp.
Thanks
Francesco

I think it is awsome. I have really dark hair and would love to be shadowless. I have a pretty high pain tolerance for a man. Maybe I should make "ShadowSly" my nickname!

Hey Gaslick:
The pain is quite bad the lst few times (when the work is extensive). Follow-up prcedures aren't so bad. But one is uncomfortable the lst few procedures for a good week. However; I'd do it again in a heartbeat. And btw-I wish I had done it years ago.
