I've been saying for a while that I was going to give golf another try. My boss plays, several of the other guys around here do as well. I borrowed my step-dad's clubs since he doesn't play at all anymore. Just haven't been able to make it out. There's a driving range and academy about 5 minutes from the house, just gotta get my "stuff" together and get out there.

You don't need that stuff... just follow John Daly's advice:  Grip it and rip it!  ;)

I'm a hacker but hope to get back into it.  Fell in love with the game going to practice rounds in Augusta ... and further honed a love when I saw the Old Course at St. Andrews.  (I hear, Casey, that Ireland has some pretty legendary courses, too.)

Yeah there are some great courses over here
County Kerry is full of them and we have The K Club which hosted the last Ryder Cup..
I would say for such a small island we probably have more golf courses per square mile than anywhere in the world.
I only wish i was good at it  ;D

I really would love to see John Daly, if only for one season, focus on golf and not all the other stuff he does. I know beer, smokes, driving the motor home to Hooters, and living it up is all pretty cool (well, smokes are not for me), but he has so much natural talent, I'd just love to see what he could do if he focused on golf.

He did hire Butch Harmon as a coach (former coach to Tiger and current coach of Mickelson), and Harmon has told him he'll work with JD if JD focuses. We'll see...........

Very true comments about Daly there schro..
I would have no fear in saying Daly is probably one of the most naturally talented golfers there is it's just as you said the high life is off more importance to him than golf..
He reminds me of a soccer player called George Best im sure everyone knows his story??

Ever hop over to Scotland and play?

The people of Scotland were wonderful when Team Schro went over for a 10-day golf trip. 5 days in Troon, 5 days in St. Andrews.
Awesome.
